Overview

The Hengrove’s Bookends project, focused on revitalising existing urban infrastructure while integrating new developments, involved the two new buildings sitting either side of Hengrove Boulevard which would create 53 affordable homes for social rent and shared ownership.

Challenges

  • Residential Area Consideration

    Solum faced the challenge of adapting construction plans to minimise disruption in the surrounding residential neighbourhood. Planning was involved to mitigate noise and traffic, ensuring minimal inconvenience to the local residents.

    Efficient handling of deliveries in tight construction areas. Solum implemented logistics management strategies to streamline deliveries, optimise the space on site and reduce the congestion where possible, ensuring smooth project execution.

    Solum played a pivotal role in rerouting bus and hospital roadways to accommodate sewer installation, ensuring smooth progress of the project while maintaining essential services.
