Project Update: Kings Quarter

Located in the heart of Gloucester, the Kings Quarter Redevelopment is a project aimed at revitalizing the King’s Walk Shopping Centre, King’s Square, and developing The Forum. The progress is thanks to the dedicated teamwork of all involved parties, and we’re proud to see this project moving forward!

 

Recent Project Updates

• HV Diversion: Progress continues rerouting the medium-pressure gas main in collaboration with Wales & West Utilities, alongside shifting HV cables to avoid conflicts with the new gas connection point. National Grid has been working overnight to minimise disruption, coordinating seamlessly with Solum’s preparation of the trenches.

 

• Advancing External Works: Paving preparation is underway by Afan Construction Limited and Mike Smith Paving, while service installations are progressing with vacuum excavation by Hercules Site Services PLC,  gearing up for the tarmac phase.
